MMK Foundation Supported Organizations

Mark and Marcia King and the MMK Foundation, have a long history of giving support to organizations and programs that fulfill the mission of the Foundation. Taking care of our most vulnerable citizens; seeking new cures, promoting better health and dental care for the underserved; sheltering and nurturing the homeless; feeding the hungry; and, supporting education are just some of the good works supported by the MMK Foundation and its founders through their many grants and donations.   Here are just a few of the organizations supported by the MMK Foundation:

Grant Requirements

The MMK Foundation will consider grant applications seeking support for specific programs and projects, capital projects, or general operations. We do not consider grants to individuals.  Limited funds are available. The Board of Directors of the MMK Foundation meets semi-annually to review grant applications received by the Foundation.

Particular priority is given to agencies and programs that achieve the following:

•   Make a positive and measurable impact in the community
•   Nurture, recognize, and reward individual and family initiative and responsibility
•   Create and promote innovative solutions to address needs
•   Work to share resources through collaboration to multiply the positive impact
•   Practice sound management and effective financial responsibility

Agencies and programs fall outside the scope of our support if the following applies:

•   Needs are more effectively or adequately served and/or funded by others
•   Program or project does not encourage individuals to break through the poverty assistance cycle
•   Program or project does not recognize and promote individual and family responsibility and
     initiative in solving the problems
•   Program or project does not work to achieve positive outcomes for the individual,
    family, or community
